Recruit Training

General

The journey starts with Recruit Training. This nationally mandated course of instruction is designed to ensure all new Young Marines have the same basic knowledge. Through 26 hours of instruction, the recruits learn Close Order Drill, General Knowledge, Field Skills, Navigation, Drug Resistance, Public Speaking, Leadership, US History and Citizenship, and Fitness, Health, and First Aid. Recruits must earn the title of Young Marine by demonstrating their knowledge of the foundations of the program and celebrating their achievements with a Graduation Ceremony.

Our Young Marines will continue to develop an advanced understanding of the foundation topics as they progress through the ranks. Young Marines will earn ribbons and awards for their achievements and have the opportunity to attend regional and nationally hosted camps.

Cost

The current cost to join is $300. The cost includes national registration, a complete set of digital woodland pattern camouflage uniform and accessory items. A complete breakdown of the cost is provided.

We do not want cost alone to be a deterrent to joining. Payment plans are available. We are happy to work with families.
